About Mobilizy

Mobilizy is an early pioneer and one of the leading innovators in mobile augmented reality with in-house development of location-based services and AR experiences for smart-phones.

The Wikitude World Browser is a mobile guide with augmented reality functionality which draws displays information from various data sources, including: Wikipedia, Qype and Wikitude.me. The application allows you to experience an annotated landscape, mountain names, landmark descriptions and interesting stories from you mobile phone. Our software is currently available for Android, iPhone 3GS, and Symbian Our software is currently available for Android, iPhone, and Symbian (Nokia N97 und N97 mini) phones.

philipp Philipp studied computer science and history at the University of Salzburg and the Bowling Green State University, Ohio. After working for various companies including KPMG Consulting and Sony DADC he founded Mobilizy GmbH, a software startup specializing in Augmented Reality software for smartphones. Philipp has a special interest in Mexican and Thai food.

martin Martin studied both Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Salzburg, Austria and the Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. He got to know Philipp Breuss during his time at Sony DADC. Martin was fascinated by the possibilities of Augmented Reality and joined Philipp to develop Wikitude. He is now CTO at Mobilizy. Martin loves Tennis and hiking in the wilderness and sometimes has found himself in companionship with bears and snakes …

Erik has held senior operational and strategic roles since 1999 in a number of telecoms and internet companies, both startups & publicly listed companies.  Erik held senior positions with Digital Mobility, and Dynamical Systems Research – an Ericsson design centre, pioneer of the world’s first WAP SDK, and one of the world’s first commercial Web-to-phone, corporate SMS messaging services, Airmail(tm), launched in 1995.  Subsequently, Erik was European Managing Director of eMeta Corporation, a provider of access control and digital licensing software for online publishers and financial services.  Erik was also responsible for VeriSign’s Mobile Enterprise Services (VMES), a global, mobile messaging aggregation service, in addition to Enterprise Paging, a multi-protocol mediation service for wireless carriers, including AT&T and Sprint in North America.  Erik held P&L responsibility for a 20 million USD book of business, and drove average annualized top-line revenue growth of 50%.  Erik holds a doctorate from the University of Oxford.
andi Andreas studied applied computer science in Salzburg, Austria. After 4 instructive years as a software-development freelancer for Sony DADC he joined Mobilizy at early stage. Business development, evaluating user interfaces as well as snowboarding and acting as handball-goalkeeper are his core interests.

niki Nicola studied Geo-Information Science in Rottenmann, Austria. After nearly 3 years of gathering experiences in software-developement and project management at Real Networks, she joined Mobilizy in July 2009 and likes managing projects and all geo-relevant areas this job involves. She loves skiing and spending time with friends.

markus Markus is responsible for the content eco system and search technology for the Wikitude world browser including Wikitude.me. He is also founder and CTO of Netociety. Prior to Mobilizy, Markus worked for Sony in Austria and Germany, where he was leading software architect of the music download and streaming server platforms Connect Europe and StreamMan (Vodafone music). Markus studied computer science at the University of Salzburg and as an Austrian he loves to ski in winter.

christina Christina has wide experience in the field of New Media. With a background in Multimedia Arts from University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg her first projects at Wüstenrot Salzburg focused in the field of User Interface Design and Community building. In 2005 Christina extended her studies at University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein where she graduated in Marketing. She was responsible for the development of a regional Community “mein.salzburg.com” for Salzburger Nachrichten, an Austrian newspaper publisher. Christina is a social media expert and shares her second passion skiing on her blog querdenken.at.

wolfgang Wolfgang studied Mobile Computing at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. With a strong interest in the Symbian platform he joined Mobilizy to help develop the Wikitude Client for Nokia smartphones. Wolfgang is interested in everything mobile and loves to mountainbike and snowboard in the Austrian alps.

andijr Andreas is studying MultiMediaTechnology at the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg. As a Mac-Developer he joined Mobilizy to port the Wikitude World Browser to the iPhone. Andreas plays euphonium in a brass band and loves to ski off-piste in Salzburg’s skiing areas.
